Ray and Karly planned a Memorial Day trip to DC, jam packed with things to do. On Sunday, they went to a Nats game and followed it up with dinner at the Westgate Hotel and a walk around the Kennedy Center. On the terrace of the Kennedy Center, with no one else around, Ray proposed, asking Karly to spend the rest of their lives together. She said yes, and they celebrated by taking a night bike ride around the monuments. How romantic does that sound!?
My husband works with Karly (and used to work with Ray), so it was a lot of fun getting to meet these two! We met at sunrise at Belle Isle, and all immediately agreed that, despite the early hour, it was by far the best decision, because it was already sweltering by 7am! We were all so hot, but these two were amazing through it all, and were a blast to work with! Their sweet 15 year old lab, Mocha, joined them, and despite the fact that she hates getting her photo taken, is quite the photogenic lady. :-) (Have I mentioned how much I love when couples bring their sweet pups to their sessions?). Mocha will be one of their flower girls at their November wedding, and I can’t wait! Until then, enjoy some of my favorites from their Belle Isle Engagement!
An absolute favorite!!
I love the way they make each other laugh!
You would never know she dodges the camera any chance she gets. Look at those sweet eyes!
And we’ll end with this sweet face!
