If we are friends on Facebook or you follow me on Instagram, than you know what last week held for our little family. Last Sunday (the 7th) our 2 pups got out and went for an EPIC romp. They used to do this from time to time in our old neighborhood, and would always come home within a few hours, together. This time was different though. Nearly 24 hours after the ran, Owen came home alone, which has NEVER happened. The moment I saw him, I broke down in tears because Blakely wasn’t with him and I feared the worst.

I remember it like it was yesterday. The shock of being in labor so early. The terror that something may be wrong. The pain and exhaustion like I have never known. All culminating in the absolute most incredible, beautiful moment of my life to that date…when they laid you on my chest. Your daddy and I sobbed happy tears, and this immense love like I have never known washed over me and has only grown stronger since that day.

The Busy Edition

Whoops, sorry about that unintentional week off from the blog! Things have been just a taaaad bit crazy around here (in a great possible way). We finally moved (YAYY!!!!) into our new home which I am now convinced it was much easier to move myself across country than it was to move with 2 littles under 2 and 2 dogs, 8 miles away. Goodness, but we did it!! I think we’ll be trading things with my parents for months as we discover each other’s things mixed in with our stuff, but we’re making progress.
