He had a work trip to Chicago, so she went with him for a long weekend. Their first full day there, they had plans to sight-see (although Jake knew it wasn’t exactly a sight-seeing trip), and after a visit to The Bean, they walked to the John Hancock building. He normally wouldn’t have minded the walk, but on this particular day, that ring was burning a hole in his pocket and he knew that was where he was going to propose.
“I’m going to cry, just so you know, I’m definitely going to cry. Did you bring the tissue?” Waiting with Austin while Amelia walked towards him for their first look was a treat. He couldn’t stop gushing over his bride to be (and he hadn’t seen her yet!), and kept telling my how lucky he was. And after he saw her? You guys. I wish I could have videoed everything while simultaneously taking pictures, because his reaction was AWESOME.
After what seemed like months of dreary, gray, rainy Saturday’s, this past weekend dawned clear and perfect! Austin and Amelia deserved nothing less, and their William & Mary Wedding was beautiful and joyful from start to finish! I have never witnessed a more enthusiastic first look, and it was hands down, one of my favorite parts of the day. I can’t wait to share the whole wedding soon, but until then, enjoy a quick sneak peek!
